Hosting & Infrastructure

This website is self-hosted on private hardware (a Mac Studio) located in Austria. There is no external hosting provider. The site is made publicly reachable via Cloudflare Tunnel (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA), which acts as a reverse proxy and terminates TLS connections. Cloudflare therefore processes your IP address, the requested URL, user agent, timestamp, and other standard HTTP metadata on its edge servers to deliver the site, block malicious traffic, and mitigate DDoS attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and reliable service). Cloudflare may transfer data to the USA; this transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified. Server Logs

The local server records standard HTTP access information (IP address, date and time, requested URL, user agent) temporarily for operation and debugging. These logs are not shared with third parties and are rotated regularly. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

Local Storage

This site stores the following data in your browser's localStorage: your selected theme (dark/light), the high scores for the Snake and Tetris mini-games, and your cookie banner acknowledgment. This data never leaves your device. No cookies are set.

Leaderboard

If you voluntarily submit a score to the public leaderboard, the name you enter (max. 12 characters) and your score are stored in a database and displayed publicly. Your IP address is briefly held in memory for rate limiting (max. 60 seconds) and is not persisted. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent through active submission).

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability and to object. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).
